eHandshake

| ehandshake.com | Brought on as a senior dev to replace a team of original engineers and execute a full stack review, analysis, and consultation on a ruby on rails application that allows you to introduce your business to more customers, from anywhere in the world. Fixed and refactored any issues, bugs, or code quality problems. Implemented a few new features. How the system works, is you match with businesses selling to similar customers as you. Then you promote by introducing your business to more customers. Finally, your business grows through trustworthy word-of-mouth referrals. I like to think the more simple a system is to use, the more complex it was to build. GL Stock

| GLStock.com | Revived a broken, pieced together, outsourced and outdated app. The system had zero guidance or documentation. I was given the opportunity to re-develop, re-create, and re-launch the application full stack as the sole lead developer. I analyzed, planned, managed, executed, and maintained all re-development processes, leveraging SCRUM and agile methodologies. Included a lot of DevOps, security upgrades, front and back end coding. It's a ruby on rails application that offers royalty free stock photos and vectors. Considering the state of the app and time constraints- this is some of my best and quickest work to-date. I upgraded the entire Rails (3.2) and ElasticSearch (1.7) engines in 3 days without losing a step. Tech: Rails 5.1.4, Mysql DB 5.6, ElasticSearch 5.6, Capistrano, Amazon EC2 & S3, Cloudfront, jQuery, Git, Trello, Slack, CircleCI, Code Climate, Exiftool, Capybara-webkit, Rspec 3, Nginx, Unicorn, Delayed jobs, Foundation, Modernizr, SlickJS, Almond, Select2, Ubuntu, Google Analytics, New Relic, Sass, CoffeeScript, HAML, Stripe

First 3 months: Built TurrimStream.com + web presence. Next 3 months: 50+ live streams, 45 videos, 102 recorded songs, 11 paintings, and a Yopoh album. Turrim amassed over 200 daily unique live stream viewers, as well as numerous music, apparel, and artwork sales. StoryTapTV

Brought on as lead full stack developer to take over a mobile web application from multiple outsourced developers. You can participate with friends, family, and people of similar interests by adding episodes to tell stories in real-time. I road-mapped and started building out native Android and iOS apps before funding ran dry. This massive pivot and poor original code base with no resources or documentation caused a myriad of issues and constraints; most notably the inability to properly re-develop, test, and QA the application. Jump Send was initially a marketplace for buyers and sellers to connect to exchange discounted products for honest reviews. It was the best way to launch Amazon products, generate product reviews, and run automated email campaigns. However, with recent changes to Amazon’s Terms of Service addressing incentivized reviews, the aspect of generating product reviews on JumpSend was no longer viable, as it was not allowed by Amazon. Now JumpSend focuses on email communications as the cornerstone feature to help Amazon sellers grow their business.
